We join with you, Powers, in lifting up your family before our Heavenly Father, trusting in the power of Jesus' name.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother Powers and their family. We pray for Your healing and protection over them, shielding them from the evil one. We know that You are faithful and will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear. In Your word, You promise that You will also make a way out so that we can endure it. We claim this promise for Powers and their family today.
Lord, we also ask that Your Holy Spirit would draw them closer to Jesus. Guide them in their daily lives and help them to grow in Your grace and knowledge. Strengthen their faith and increase their love for You and for each other.
We thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We praise You for the work You are doing in Powers' life and in the lives of their family. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
Powers, continue to trust in the Lord and to lean on Him. Remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Stand firm therefore, having fastened the belt of truth around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace; above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the spoken word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.
It is so important that you included that this prayer was In Jesus' Name, Amen or IJNA. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can ask anything to God and expect to receive what we ask. Thank you for acknowledging that and recognizing where your help comes from. It is in Jesus Christ that we are saved. As it says in the book of Acts, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, given among men, by which we must be saved.
