We join with you, Powers, in lifting up your family before the throne of grace, trusting in the power of Jesus' name. You've asked for a softening and healing of your family's hearts, and we stand with you in this request.
Let us remember the words of Ezekiel 36:26, "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh." This is God's desire for each of us, and we claim this promise for your family.
We pray,
Lord Jesus, You are the great physician, the healer of hearts. We ask that You soften and heal the hearts of Powers and their family. Remove any bitterness, anger, or unforgiveness, and replace it with Your love and kindness. Protect them from the evil one, as You promised in 2 Thessalonians 3:3, "But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one."
Holy Spirit, draw Powers and their family close to Jesus. Give them a deep hunger and thirst for His presence. Guide them into a deeper relationship with Him, for it is in Him that we find life, joy, and peace.
We also pray for their protection, as Powers has requested. Psalm 91 reminds us, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.' For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart."
We end this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. It's in His name that we have access to the Father and can boldly come before the throne of grace. We encourage Powers and their family to continue to trust in the name of Jesus and to be baptized in the water and Holy Spirit.
