We join you, Saraha, in lifting up our nation and the importance of voter registration. It is indeed our civic duty to participate in the democratic process and influence the direction of our country through our votes. As believers, we are also called to pray for our leaders and our nation, as it is written in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 WEB, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, on National Voter Registration Day, and we ask that You would stir the hearts of Your people to engage in their civic duty. Help us to understand the power of our vote and use it to influence positive change in our nation. We pray for all candidates, that You would protect them from harm and guide them with wisdom and discernment. Lord, we ask that You would raise up godly leaders who would honor You and lead our country in righteousness.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage everyone to register to vote and make their voices heard. However, let us not forget that our ultimate hope and trust is not in any political party or candidate, but in the Lord Jesus Christ. As Psalm 146:3-5 WEB reminds us, "Don’t put your trust in princes, each a son of man in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, and he returns to the earth. In that very day, his thoughts perish. Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Yahweh, his God."
Let us continue to pray for our nation and our leaders, trusting that God's will shall prevail. May God bless our nation and may His people be a light in the darkness, guiding others to the hope and salvation found only in Jesus Christ. If you have not already, take this opportunity to register to vote and make a difference.
