Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother Korsham on this special day of his baptism. We thank you for his decision to publicly declare his faith and commitment to follow you. Lord, we acknowledge that it is disheartening for Korsham that his family on both sides are unable to attend this significant event in his life. We pray for comfort and peace to fill his heart during this time.
Your Word reminds us in Psalm 27:10, "Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me." We ask that you would be a source of strength and encouragement for Korsham, assuring him of your presence and love. Surround him with a community of believers who can support and celebrate with him on this special day.
Lord, we also lift up Korsham's family members who are unable to attend. We pray that you would touch their hearts and draw them closer to you. May they come to know the joy and peace that Korsham has found in his relationship with you. We ask for opportunities for reconciliation and restoration within his family, that they may experience the love and unity that comes from being part of your family.
We trust in your sovereignty, Lord, knowing that you work all things together for good. We pray that you would use this situation to deepen Korsham's faith and reliance on you. May his baptism be a powerful testimony of your grace and love, even in the absence of his family members.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
"Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me." - Psalm 27:10
