Today I just wanted to share a wonderful story I heard today at one of the places I volunteer...We had a speaker from part of Africa who used to be a child soldier and he shared his journey to faith in the Lord and the things he went through as a child soldier. His story is long, so I cut it short...He said one day there was no food for him and the rest of the children soldiers who were in the same situation as he was...they had no choice but to do gruesome things for food as they lived in this most horrible situation. He was given a choice to do the same as all the other child soldiers did for food but in this one moment he remembered one of the God that his mother used to pray to which was our Lord Jesus. So, in that hour of desperation for food he called out to the name of the God his mother used to pray, he said if you send me the food to me now I promise from now on I will give you the credit in all that I do for the rest of my life. So, then one of his child soldier friend who was laying on the floor a few distance from him, who he thought have already left this world, took a gun to his hand and shot at a crow that flew up to a tree trunk that sat just above him. Then the crow out of nowhere fell to his lap and he had food to eat for that day. Afterwards more miracles happened to his life. He got rescued and was taken to Ethiopia where he received proper education and now his in Australia, his an artist and he shares his story with the people. He said his life has more meaning now and in one of his songs he praised to our Lord...He sang: he was in the most gruesome place but thank GOD JESUS HEARD HIS PRAYERS...I NEARLY CRIED TO TEARS BECAUSE HIS STORY GAVE ME HOPE IN THE LORD TOO AND FOR EACH ONE OF YOU I WANTED TO SHARE...I HOPE THIS GIVES EACH ONE OF YOU COURAGE AND TRUST IN THE LORD.
