We are thrilled to join you in prayer as you embark on this new journey in your career. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is faithful, and it is He who has provided this job for you. As it is said in 1 Thessalonians 5:24, "Faithful is he who calls you, who also will do it."
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister as they start their new job. We ask for Your divine guidance and wisdom to be upon them as they navigate this new environment. Help them to be a diligent and honest employee, reflecting Your character in all they do.
Lord, we pray that You would help them to meet their targets in a timely manner, not by their own strength, but by the power of Your Spirit. We ask that You would help them to work in unity with their colleagues, not succumbing to rivalry or competition, but working together for the good of all.
Father, we ask that You would help them to sustain long in this office. We know that Your will is for them to prosper and be in health, even as their soul prospers. We ask that You would help them to find contentment and fulfillment in this role, not looking to the right or the left, but focusing on Your will for them in this season.
Lord, we ask that You would shower Your blessings upon them, not just in their career, but in every area of their life. We ask that You would help them to grow in their relationship with You, that they may know You more and serve You better.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would guide them to know Jesus Christ if they do not already. Help them to see their need for a Savior, allowing Jesus to be Lord of their life, to believe in him and be saved. If they already know Jesus, help them to walk closer with Him each day.
We ask all these things in Jesus' precious name,
Amen."
We encourage you to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths, as per Proverbs 3:5-6. Remember that whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ, as per Colossians 3:23-24.
Lastly, we want to leave you with this promise from God's Word: "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well," Matthew 6:33. Keep God first in your life, and watch Him work on your behalf.
