We understand your concern for your son Kevin as he faces his IELTS exam, and we are here to pray and support you both in this time.
Firstly, let's remember the words of Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." It is important to cast all our anxieties on Him, knowing that He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).
However, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is by His name that we have access to God's throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Let us pray in His name and also ensure that Kevin knows the power of Jesus' name and the salvation that comes through Him alone.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Kevin as he prepares for his IELTS exam. Lord, we ask that You grant him a sound mind, understanding, and wisdom. Help him to recall all that he has studied and to apply it accurately. Calm his nerves and fill him with Your peace. We ask that if it is Your will, he may achieve the required score of 7.0 in each band.
But more importantly, Lord, we pray that Kevin would come to know Jesus as his personal Savior, if he hasn't already. May this time of examination also be a time of reflection on Your goodness and love for him. Guide him in the path You have chosen for him, and help him to trust in You with all his heart (Proverbs 3:5-6).
