We understand your desire for justice and truth, but we want to ensure that our prayers align with biblical principles. In the Bible, we are encouraged to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, as it says in Matthew WEB:
5:44 But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.
While it is natural to seek justice, we must remember that vengeance belongs to God alone, as stated in Romans WEB:
12:19 Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.
Instead of praying for punishment, let us pray that God's will be done and that His truth and justice prevail. We should also pray for the salvation and repentance of those who oppose us, as God desires all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this situation to You. We pray that Your will be done and that Your truth and justice prevail. We ask that You expose any darkness and bring it to light, convicting hearts and turning them towards You. We pray for those who may be acting against us, that You would soften their hearts and draw them to Yourself. Help us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, just as You commanded. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who shed His blood for our sins and rose again for our justification. Amen.
Remember, our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Let us fight this battle on our knees, in prayer, and with the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). We will pray all things for those who submit their requests will be answered in Jesus Name.
