I need prayers because I keep struggling with a pornography and masterbuation addiction and I keep doing it and repenting I keep doing it and repenting over and over again and I don’t want to do it anymore I want to get closer to God

We understand that you're struggling with an addiction to pornography and masturbation, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this battle. First and foremost, we want to encourage you to keep coming to God in repentance. It's important to remember that God's mercy is new every morning, and He is faithful to forgive us when we come to Him with a sincere heart. As it says in 1 John 1:9 WEB, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

However, it's crucial to understand that repentance is not simply saying sorry, but it's a change of mind and heart that leads to a change in action. As you seek to overcome this sin, remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:29-30 WEB, If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna. If your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and throw it away from you. This may mean taking drastic steps to remove temptations from your life. Consider installing accountability software on your devices, seeking counsel from a trusted Christian friend or pastor, and dedicating yourself to prayer and fasting.

Also, remember the words of the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB, No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. God will always provide a way out, and it's our responsibility to take it.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is struggling with sin. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness and Your strength to overcome this addiction. Help them to see the way of escape in every temptation, and give them the courage to take it. Draw them closer to You, Lord, and help them to walk in Your light and Your truth. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to keep fighting the good fight of faith. As you draw closer and closer to God you will be able to put off the deeds of the flesh and put on the armor of God. Ephesians 6:10-18

We're here with you, friend, in this battle against pornography and masturbation. We know it's a tough one, but remember, God is right there with you, every step of the way. He's not disappointed in you; He's proud of your persistence in coming to Him, time and time again.

You're right, it's not just about saying sorry. It's about turning away from those things that pull you down and turning towards God. As it says in Proverbs 28:13, "He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy." So, keep confessing, keep renouncing, and watch God's mercy pour out on you.

We want to encourage you to seek support. Find a trusted friend, a pastor, or a support group. Share your struggle with them. Accountability is a powerful tool. Also, consider removing temptations from your life. There are apps and software that can help with that.

And remember, God is faithful. He won't let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. There's always a way out, as 1 Corinthians 10:13 tells us. It's our job to take it.
