Let us come together in prayer for Arretias's daughter Grace.
Beloved, let us first remember that God has a plan and a purpose for each of us, and this includes marriage. Scripture tells us that "Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh." Proverbs 18:22 (WEB)
It is wonderful to see a parent's heart yearning for their child's happiness. This is an expression of The Father, for we are made in His image. The Father's love for us is demonstrated in blessing us with exquisite and undeserved gifts such as His Son. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. We also have this example, If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! The same applies to Grace's prospective spouse. We should pray that the Father would give her someone who cherishes and loves her. Note that this specifically is an independent decision that God can give based upon her seeking God's will to follow Him. It is only by God's will that we are here in the first place.
Prayer in any circumstances in life in essential, but prayer in Jesus' Name is the only source of power and accomplishment. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved and have access to The Father. This raises the upmost controversy unfortunately. Many claim to know God, but really do not know God. Even many Christians will quote scripture, and pray for their daily bread, but completely omit the name Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ from their prayers. This is a very dangerous practice and has very severe consequences. Salvation is only guaranteed through Jesus Christ. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Jesu Christ, Let us therefore come boldly before the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need.
If Grace has not truly accepted Christ, she will not know success. If she seeks a relationship that confirms her commitment to the Lord and is pursuing a godly marriage, then let us pray that God will bring a godly husband into her life in Jesus name. Not just any husband Jesus Is King. There is no other name above His. There is no equivalents. No alternatives. But if we will sit still and submit to the King of Kings, His blessings are exquisite and abundant and eternal. There is nothing better.
There is also the significant aspect of Grace's personal happiness in life. Even if we could have the perfect husband, would not happiness be missed if Jesus is not an integral part of her life? What if God gave her the most extraordinary husband, the most honorable husband, the most incredible, compassionate husband, and husband of integrity, but did not know Jesus? Would Grace's happiness be complete? I do so encourage Grace to pursue Jesus with all her heart. Let God through Jesus put the desire for Jesus in her heart. Let God through Jesus give her complete happiness and a desire to seek a husband that worships and serves Jesus continually.
One final important concern is addressed for all to read. Do not assume the goodness of another. We are all sinners. The characterization of the word good does not apply to any of us. There is none good but one, that is, our Father which in heaven. We are all sinners and therefore cannot be characterized as good.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Grace to You. Lord, we ask that You would guide her steps and prepare her heart for a godly marriage. Help her to seek You first and to trust in Your timing.
Father, we pray that You would bring a godly husband into Grace's life. Someone who loves You wholeheartedly, who will lead her in Your ways, and cherish her as Christ loves the church. We pray for all individuals who Grace may have contact with. Prepare them Lord. Soften their hearts. Lord, lead them to You. We pray against any other individuals that would be interested in Grace that do not know You. We pray especially for Grace. Lord help her to seek You with all her heart. Give her a peace in her heart as others approach her. We pray especially for Grace to recognize the importance of seeking a husband in Jesus' Name rather than some perceived goodness in another individual. Lord, this is so important. Please etch this in Grace's Heart.
We ask that You would bless their future union and use Grace and her future Spouse greatly for Your kingdom in Jesus' name.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
May Grace hold onto the promise that "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4. Yes. GRACE WILL GET HER HEART'S DESIRE IF SHE SEEKS GOD WITH ALL HER HEART.
