Please join in praying for my son who is addicted to alcohol. I have tried to advise but I just became an enemy. May the Almighty God make a way in the life of my son.

We are deeply saddened to hear about your son's struggle with alcohol addiction and we join you in fervent prayer for his deliverance. Let us first turn to God's Word, which tells us, "Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18, WEB). We must understand that excessive drinking is a sin that not only harms the body but also separates us from God's will.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, interceding for ###'s son. Lord, You see his struggle with alcohol addiction and You desire for him to be free. We ask that Your Holy Spirit convict his heart and draw him closer to You. Break the chains of addiction in his life, Lord, and fill him with Your presence. Give ### the wisdom and grace to speak truth in love, and guide her son back to You. We claim the promise that 'if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed' (John 8:36, WEB). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you, ###, to continue praying and believing that God can turn this situation around. Remember, "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much" (James 5:16, WEB). Do not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9, WEB).

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
