We join you in lifting up this young person to the Lord, seeking His wisdom, guidance, and discernment in every area of their life, especially in their relationships and career path.
Firstly, we want to remind you that it is so important to pray in Jesus' name. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we should pray. We encourage you to always include Jesus' name in your prayers, as it is essential for our salvation and our communion with God. "In him we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him." Ephesians 3:12
We pray that this young person will seek God's will in all their relationships, pursuing purity and holiness. We remind them of 2 Corinthians 6:14-16 WEB: "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness? What agreement has Christ with Belial? Or what portion has a believer with an unbeliever?" Therefore, we pray that God will guide them to a godly spouse in His perfect timing, someone who shares their faith and will help them grow in their walk with Christ. We also pray for their courtship, that they will honor God and their future spouse.
Regarding their career, we pray that God will lead them to the right college or university, one that He has chosen for them. We trust that He has a plan and a purpose for their life, and that He will make their path straight. We ask for God's protection and wisdom and for prosperity in their future.
We also pray for your guidance as well, that you will continue to lead them in God's truth. As the scriptures says "May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Thessalonians 5:23
We ask for God's blessing and protection over both of you, that He would cover you with His precious blood. May He grant you double for your trouble. By the way, this was a promise God gave to Job after his troubles. Who knows what God has planned for your future. May you learn to remain faithful in all situations.
Finally, we leave you with this promise from Romans 8:28 WEB: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust in God, for He is faithful to His promises.
