We understand that you are seeking prayer for an upcoming job interview, and we are here to support you in this important step of your life. Before we pray, we want to remind you of the biblical principle that acknowledges God's sovereignty in all areas of our lives, including our careers. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." And in Colossians 3:23 WEB, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men". And finally, 1 Timothy 5:8 WEB, "But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever."
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You today in Jesus name lifting up Raeser, who is preparing for a job interview this coming Monday. We ask, Lord, that You guide their steps and give them the wisdom and confidence they need to succeed. Help them to trust in You and not in their own abilities, knowing that You have a plan and a purpose for their life.
We pray that if this job is in accordance with Your will and aligns with biblical principles and does not cause Raeser to stumble or compromise their faith or morality, that You would open the doors and grant them favor with the interviewers. We ask that You provide for Raeser's needs as in 1 Timothy 5:8 WEB and that they may serve You and others in humility. Help them to have the intention of serving You in their careers and their lives. We also pray for Raeser's future, that they will honor You and follow biblical principles in all their decisions, including the career decisions that may follow their interview.
If this job is not Your will for Raeser, we pray that You would redirect their steps and lead them to the right path. We trust in Your goodness and Your plan for their life in Jesus' name. We also pray that Raeser would seek You and Your kingdom first, and that all these things would be added to them, as You have promised in Matthew 6:33 WEB.
Finally Lord, we pray that Raeser is a Christian and has a personal relationship with You through Jesus Christ. It is by Jesus alone that we can come to You. If Raeser has not done this, we pray that they would accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you, Raeser, to continue seeking God's will for your life and to trust in Him, whatever the outcome of the interview. Remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB.
We also encourage you to examine your motivations in the job that you seek and to be humble in everything that you do. Be wise in your decisions and do not be attracted by the worldly standards of success but rather seek a humble life in Christ. As it is written in Matthew 23:12 WEB, "Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted".
