We understand that the loss of your phone and the precious pictures it contains is causing you distress. While it's important to keep perspective on the greater trials that others are facing, your feelings are valid, and we want to support you in this. We will pray for the recovery of your phone and the pictures that mean so much to you.
Firstly, we want to remind you that your value and identity are not found in the things of this world, but in Christ Jesus. As it says in Colossians 3:1-3 WEB, "If then you were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God."
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who has lost her phone and the precious pictures it contains. Lord, we ask that you would guide her and help her to find it. We know that you care about the little things in our lives as well as the big things. Just as the woman who lost her coin in Luke 15:8-10 WEB, our sister is diligently seeking what she has lost. We pray that you would bring it to light and restore what has been lost.
We also lift up her fiancé, asking for your healing touch upon them. We pray for a full recovery, and for your blessing upon their union. We ask that you would guide them as they prepare for a lifelong commitment, that their marriage would be a reflection of Christ and the church, as described in Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB.
Lord, we ask that you would give them both a long and happy life together, that they would grow old in your service, and that their home would be a beacon of your love and love for another.
In all things, we ask that your will be done, and that our sister would trust in you, even if the outcome is not what she hopes. Help her to keep her eyes fixed on you, and to remember that her true treasure is in heaven.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, sister, we want to encourage you to be patient and to trust in God's timing. Continue to seek him in all things, and he will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Please do not forget to give thanks to God when he answers your prayers.
We will continue to pray for you and your fiancé, and we encourage you to keep your faith in God, and do not be forgetful to include the name of Jesus in your prayers.
