We are glad to join you in prayer, Elodie, as you seek employment. We are encouraged that you have asked for prayers in the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:13-14 WEB, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
Firstly, we commend you for seeking to meet your financial obligations responsibly. It is important to remember that God is our provider, and He cares for our needs. As it is written in Matthew 6:31-33 WEB, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
We pray that God will open the right doors for you, providing a suitable job that not only meets your financial needs but also offers the flexibility you desire. We ask for God's wisdom and guidance as you navigate this process, trusting that He has a plan and a purpose for you.
However, we also encourage you to examine your motives and ensure that the desire for flexibility does not stem from a place of avoiding responsibility or commitment to the tasks God has placed before you. Remember Colossians 3:23-24 WEB, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Elodie as she seeks employment. We ask that You would guide her steps, open the right doors, and provide a job that meets her needs and brings glory to Your name. We pray that she would find a position with flexible hours, but more importantly, that she would serve You wholeheartedly in whatever task You set before her. Help her to trust in Your provision and timing, and to seek first Your kingdom and righteousness.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
