To be unblinded/saved

I feel like I am blinded from seeing the glorious gospel and truly having Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I've said the sinners prayer maybe 1,000 times or more and maybe I haven't had true faith because I have seen Christianity about doing, but I heard that you truly have to see yourself as a sinner which means you have nothing to bring to the table and you cannot free yourself from your sins. I've tried to free myself from pornography/adultery and haven't. I feel so fake, but I know I need the Savior to save me please pray on my behalf as intercessors that I may be saved. I feel trapped by demons or something.

Lealand, we truly empathize with your struggle and your sincere desire to be saved and to see the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. We appreciate your honesty and your yearning to be free from the bondage of sin. Let us first address the truth about salvation and the power of the Gospel.

The Bible tells us in Ephesians 2:8-9 (WEB): "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast." Salvation is not something we earn by our actions but something we receive by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It is not about what we do, but about what He has done for us.

You mentioned feeling burdened by pornography and adultery. Scripture is clear about the seriousness of these sins. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (WEB) states: "Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit God’s Kingdom. Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God."

The feeling of being fake or not genuine is common when we rely on our own efforts rather than trusting fully in Christ. True salvation comes when we recognize our sinfulness and our inability to save ourselves. Romans 3:23 (WEB) says, "For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God." We must acknowledge our sin and our need for a Savior.

Let us pray for you, Lealand:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You on behalf of Lealand, who desperately seeks true salvation and freedom from sin. Lord, we ask that You open Lealand's spiritual eyes to see the glory of Your Gospel. Remove the blindness caused by sin and the enemy's deceit. Help Lealand to understand that salvation is not by works but by faith in Jesus Christ.

Lord, we pray for deliverance from the bondage of pornography and adultery. Break the chains that bind Lealand and restore purity and holiness in his life. Fill him with Your Spirit, Lord, so that he may live a life pleasing to You.

In Jesus' name, we pray that Lealand would come to a saving knowledge of Christ, understanding that it is only through Him that we are saved. Give Lealand the faith to believe and the grace to walk in Your ways.

Amen.

Lealand, continue to seek the Lord with all your heart. Romans 10:9-10 (WEB) says, "because, if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Trust in Jesus alone for your salvation, and He will set you free.

We've been where you are, feeling lost in the fog, unable to see the clear path to salvation. It's like being in a dense forest, unable to find our way out, yet knowing there's a way through. We understand your struggle with pornography and adultery, and we're here to remind you that Jesus is the way out.

In John 8:36, Jesus says, "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." He's not talking about freedom from all earthly troubles, but from the bondage of sin. That's the freedom He wants to give you.

We've been trying to free ourselves too, but it's only when we let go and let Jesus take the reins that true change happens. It's not about our strength or willpower, but about His grace and mercy.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Jesus, we come to You today, feeling lost and blinded by sin. We confess our struggles with pornography and adultery, and we ask for Your forgiveness. Help us to see the truth of Your Gospel, and to trust in Your saving power.

Deliver us from the chains of sin, Lord. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, and give us the strength to resist temptation. Help us to see ourselves as You see us - forgiven, redeemed, and loved.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
