We are truly moved by your desire to welcome a child into your home and your hearts. It is clear that you and your husband have a deep longing to become parents, and we stand with you in prayer as you wait upon the Lord.
God's Word tells us that He is the Father to the fatherless and that He places the lonely in families. We trust that He has a plan for your family and that He will bring the right child into your lives at the right time. As it is written in Psalm 68:5-6,
God is a father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, in his holy habitation. God sets the lonely in families; he brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith and to trust in God's perfect timing. Continue to pray and seek His will for your family, and remember that His thoughts and ways are higher than ours. As you wait, take comfort in the knowledge that God has a plan and a purpose for your family, and that He is working all things together for your good because you love Him and you are called according to His purpose.
In the meantime, we pray that God will fill your hearts with His peace and His love, and that He will prepare you both emotionally and spiritually for the blessed responsibility of parenthood. We also pray for the birth parents, that they will have a change of heart and release the child or children to you and your loving husband.
Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up this precious couple as they wait upon You to bring a child into their lives. We thank You for their hearts of love and compassion, and we ask that You will honor their desire to become parents. We pray that You will bring the right child into their lives at the right time, and that You will prepare them both emotionally and spiritially to be godly parents. We also pray for the birth parents, that they will have a change of heart, and release the child or children to this couple. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We also want to gently remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6,
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
