We understand that you are going through a difficult time and seeking God's intervention in your life. Firstly, we want to address the issue of divorce. While we recognize the challenges that marriages can face, it's crucial to remember that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. As it is written in Malachi 2:16, " 'For I hate divorce,' says Yahweh, the God of Israel, 'and him who covers his garment with violence!' says Yahweh of Armies. 'Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let no one deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.'"
We encourage you to seek God's will in this matter and consider reconciliation if at all possible. Pray for God's guidance and strength to navigate this challenging time. Remember, God can heal and restore even the most broken situations. As it is written in Matthew 19:6, "So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."
Regarding your prayer for daily needs and rest, we want to assure you that God cares about every aspect of your life, including your physical needs. In Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus says, "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in need. Lord, we pray for Your guidance and strength in their marriage, that Your will be done, and that You would bring healing and restoration. We also ask that You provide for their daily needs, that they may have sufficient food and rest. Help them not to rely on their own strength but trust in Your providence.
In the same time we also see this in your request and need to address it. We see that you have asked for something else as well. You have asked for a sweet tasty treat and that you do not want anyone to comment. May we suggest that you are trying to plan your own desires out of your own lusts and possibly not leaving your future to God. This is explained well in James 4:13-15 Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow let's go into this city, and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit." While you don't know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes. For you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that."
Lord, give them the strength to surrender their desires to You, that they may not be swayed by selfish ambitions but seek Your will above all else. Help them to endure and be obedient to Your Word.
We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. For it is by His name and His name only we may approach the throne of God. Many people do not realize that they cannot just come to God and ask for things. You must be claiming the sacrifice that Jesus paid on the cross for your sins. It is only then that you are a Christian and have access to God. It is then that the Holy Spirit dwells inside of you and you can walk in the Spirit and not in your lusts and desires.
Finally let us share with you some final verses and encouragement.
Galatians 5:16-23 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the deeds of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God's Kingdom. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
