We understand your concern and share your desire for righteousness and purity in our society, especially when it comes to protecting children and adolescents. It is indeed important to safeguard impressionable youth from inappropriate content and harmful ideologies.
We are reminded in Ephesians 5:11-12 (WEB):
"Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them. For the things which are done by them in secret, it is a shame even to speak of."
"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things." (Philippians 4:8 WEB).
"But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints;" (Ephesians 5:3 WEB).
"For this cause, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men with men working that which is filthy, and receiving in themselves the due recompense of their error." (Romans 1:26-27 WEB).
It is clear that we should advocate for what is pure, honorable, and just, and speak out against what is not. We should pray for those who are addicted to such platforms, that they may be delivered from this bondage and guided towards legitimate and productive work.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for your intervention in the matter of TikTok and other similar platforms. We pray that you would protect our children and youth from exposure to inappropriate content and harmful ideologies. We ask that you would guide our leaders to take swift and decisive action to ban or regulate these platforms effectively. We pray for those who are addicted to such platforms, that they may be delivered and guided towards legitimate and productive work. We ask that you would raise up voices to advocate for purity, righteousness, and truth in our society. We pray all these things in accordance with your will, in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
We also encourage you, Elodie, to continue to pray and advocate for this issue, but remember that our ultimate trust is in God, and our ultimate battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, and stand firm in your faith (Ephesians 6:13-18).
Lastly, we note that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God, Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. As you are praying for this cause, also remember to ask God for salvation to those who need it.
