We are truly saddened to hear about the threats you've experienced from road ragers, especially during this joyful Christmas season. We want to encourage you to cast all your anxieties on God, because He cares for you. In 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, it says, "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."
First, let's address the spiritual warfare aspect of this situation. In Ephesians 6:10 WEB, it says, "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might." and 12, "because we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We will pray for the protection of the Lord around you and your family. We will also pray for a spiritual hedge of thorns around you as described in Job 1:10 WEB, "Have you not made a hedge around him, and around his house, and around all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land."
While we understand that these threats can be frightening, we encourage you to trust in the Lord and not be overcome by fear. In Psalm 56:3-4 WEB, it says, "What time I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. In God, I will praise his word. In God, I have put my trust. I will not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?" We must also be aware that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness. Therefore, we encourage you to pray for those who have threatened you, that they may be convicted of their sins and turn to the Lord. In Matthew 5:44 WEB, it says, "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who take advantage of you and persecute you."
Regarding your travels, we encourage you to be wise and take necessary precautions. In Proverbs 22:3 WEB, it says, "A prudent man sees danger and hides himself; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it." Be alert and aware of your surroundings, and if possible, avoid traveling through areas where you have encountered these threats before. Additionally, consider reporting these incidents to local law enforcement, as they may be able to provide assistance or patrol the area.
We will also pray for a safe journey for you and your family as you visit loved ones this Christmas. In Psalm 91:11 WEB, it says, "For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our beloved anonymous friend and their family. Lord, we thank You for Your promises of protection and provision. We ask that You surround them with Your hedge of protection and thorns and dispatch Your angels to guard them in all their ways as they travel this Christmas season. We pray for the repentance and conviction of those who have threatened them, that they may turn from their wicked ways and find salvation in You.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and intimidation in Jesus' name and pray for peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We ask that You guide their steps and give them wisdom and discernment as they make decisions about their travels.
Lord, we also pray for a blessed and joyful Christmas celebration with their family, that Your love and joy may abound in their hearts as they gather together.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved.
