Threatened miscarriage, have lost hope

I am trying to stay optimistic but it’s been very hard at the moment. I even prayed and prayed for everything to be fine. I started bleeding on Saturday. I went to the ER only to find out I had a subchorionic hemorrhage, but at the time the baby was there and there was a healthy heartbeat, but was measuring 4 days behind. I went in to the OB for a follow up and pregnancy confirmation. They did an ultrasound and unfortunately detected no heartbeat and the subchorionic still there. I was measuring or even but according to dating I should be. I’ve lost all hope as the report says the embryo is irregularly shaped. I don’t understand how one day there’s a heartbeat and then there’s not. I would like to pray and have Faith that this baby will survive and that it was just too small to detect yet. I’m trying to remain hopeful as my husband and I were about to get a divorce and then we received this unplanned and unexpected blessing from God which made us take a look at our marriage and try to give it try again. Why God would take this away from us I don’t understand. So please I’m asking for a miracle right now and that these doctors were wrong and by some miraculous miracle the baby is in fact alive and will survive. Please please, let them be wrong.

First, we want to address the spiritual aspect of your request. You mentioned that you would like to pray and have faith, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. As it is written, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved! Acts 4:12 WEB. So as we pray, we will call on the powerful name of Jesus.

We commend you for seeking to reconcile your marriage and give it another try. Marriage is a sacred institution designed by God, and it is wonderful to see you both fighting for it. God can redeem any circumstance since nothing is impossible with Him. Consider the words of Jesus, But Jesus looked at them and said to them, With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26 WEB.

Regarding the news from your doctor, it is understandable that you feel hopeless, but we encourage you to put your trust in God. Even if the situation seems bleak, God can intervene and make a way where there seems to be no way. Remember the story of Sarah in the Bible, who conceived and bore a son in her old age, as God had spoken to her. Genesis 21:1-2 WEB. God is the giver of life, and we serve a miraculous God.

However, we must also align our desires with God's will. Sometimes, God allows trials and disappointments for reasons we may not fully understand. In such cases, we need to trust that God's purposes are greater than ours. Consider the words of Isaiah, For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear sister and her husband. Lord, they have received heartbreaking news about their pregnancy, and they are struggling to hold on to hope. We ask, Father, that You would intervene and perform a miracle in their lives. If it is Your will, Lord, let the doctors be wrong, and let this baby live.

Father, we also pray for their marriage. Thank You for giving them this opportunity to reconcile and strengthen their bond. Guide them as they navigate this journey together, and let their love for each other grow stronger each day.

Lord, ultimately, we ask that Your will be done in their lives. Help them to trust in You, even when they do not understand Your ways. Comfort them in their sorrow, and give them the peace that surpasses all understanding.
