We understand that you're going through a challenging time right now, and we want you to know that you're not alone. We are here to pray with you and to help guide you according to the principles of God's Word.
Firstly, let's address the struggles you're facing. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 10:5, "Bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." This means that we should not dwell on thoughts that are contrary to God's will, but instead, take control of them and make them obedient to Christ. The thoughts of sexual immorality, violence, and other sinful behaviors you mentioned are not from God. Instead, they are attacks from the enemy to cause you distress and draw you away from God's path.
In Philippians 4:8, we are encouraged, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things." We encourage you to focus your mind on these things, and when intrusive thoughts come, reject them and turn your thoughts towards what is pure and good.
Regarding your struggles with your mom, we encourage you to honor and respect her, as commanded in Exodus 20:12, "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God is giving you." Even in disagreements, strive for understanding and reconciliation.
For your feelings of depression and self-doubt, remember that God loves you and has a purpose for you. In Jeremiah 29:11, He says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Trust in His love and plans for you.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up our brother/sister who is going through a tough time. Lord, we ask that You help them in their struggles with intrusive thoughts, and give them the strength to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Help them to focus on what is pure, good, and lovely, and to reject all thoughts that are contrary to Your will.
Lord, we also pray for their relationship with their mother. We ask for understanding, patience, and love to prevail. Help them to honor and respect her, and to seek reconciliation in times of disagreement.
Comfort their heart, Lord, and remind them of Your unfailing love for them. Help them to trust in You and Your plans for their life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. If you haven't already, make sure to put your trust in Jesus Christ for your salvation. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!"
