We're here with you, dear one. We understand that battling unwanted thoughts can feel overwhelming, but remember, you're not alone. Jesus is right there with you, and He's given us the power to overcome.
Let's recall how Jesus calmed the storm in the boat. His disciples were terrified, but He said, "Peace, be still," and the storm subsided (Mark 4:39). In the same way, we can command our thoughts to be still in Jesus' name. When an unwanted thought comes, let's say, "Peace, be still," and turn our minds to something pleasing to God.
Let's also remember Philippians 4:7-8, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
Let's fill our minds with these things, dear one. Let's replace the unwanted thoughts with the truth of God's Word. And let's keep our focus on Jesus, for He is our peace and our strength.
We're praying for you, dear one. In Jesus' mighty name, we ask for His peace to guard your mind, for every unwanted thought to flee, and for your mind to be filled with His truth and love. Amen.
