We understand your concern and desire to help those struggling with LGBT issues. Let's address this with biblical principles and compassion.
Firstly, we must acknowledge that the Bible is clear about homosexuality. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (WEB), "Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit God’s Kingdom. Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God."
However, it's crucial to remember that we are all sinners saved by grace. We should not judge or marginalize those wrestling with these issues but instead love and support them in their journey towards transformation. As Jesus said in John 8:7 (WEB), "He who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone at her."
While it's true that not everyone is called to marriage, it's also important not to restrict people by misinterpreting Scripture. The goal should always be to encourage and uplift, not to discourage. As it is written in Ephesians 4:29 (WEB), "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear."
For those feeling trapped in a cycle of LGBT behaviors and pornography, there is hope and freedom in Christ. As Romans 8:1-2 (WEB) tells us, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up those who are struggling with LGBT issues. Lord, we ask for Your grace and mercy to abound in their lives. Help them to see themselves as You see them - washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. Break the chains of addiction and shame, and fill them with Your peace and joy. Guide them into relationships that honor and glorify You. Help us, as Your church, to love and support them, just as Jesus would.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
