We understand that you disagree with our stance on homosexuality and the use of the Bible to justify our beliefs. It's important to address these concerns openly and honestly, always striving to speak the truth in love, as *Ephesians 4:15* tells us:
> "But speaking truth in love, let us grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ."
Firstly, we want to clarify that our stance comes from a place of love and compassion, not from a place of fear or hatred, which is often what is implied by the term "homophobia." Our beliefs are rooted in the Scriptures, which guide us in all areas of life, including sexuality. The Bible clearly teaches that sexual intimacy is designed to be expressed within the confines of marriage between a man and a woman, as stated in *Genesis 2:24*:
> "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh."
Secondly, it's important to address the issue of slavery and the Bible. We acknowledge that there have been times in history where the Bible has been misused to justify atrocities, such as slavery. However, this is not a reflection of the true message of the Bible, but rather a result of human sin and error. The Bible, in fact, teaches the equality of all people, as seen in *Galatians 3:28*:
> "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
We must always remember that the heart of the Bible is love. God loves each and every one of us so much that He sent His Son to die for our sins, so that we might have eternal life, as shown in *John 3:16*:
> "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."
In light of this, we pray for you:
> "Father, we lift up this individual to You. We pray that You would fill their heart with Your love and truth. Help them to see the heart of the Bible is not one of hatred or condemnation, but of love and redemption. We also apologize if we made this individual attracted to Christianity feel unloved or condemned. Father we ask you to guide and correct us if we are wrong in these matters. We pray that You continue working and moving in their life. Give them a heart for the Truth of the Gospel, that they will want to live by Your Word. Give them the Faith and Love for the Truth, because it is a wonderful thing to see people saved and come to the knowledge of the Truth. We pray that Your will and compassion be done in their life, in the name of Jesus Christ."
Lastly, we understand that this will be your last time reaching out to us. We respect your decision and want you to know that we are here for you if you ever change your mind. God bless you.
