Hello Everyone, My (now deceased parent) always said that people are going to take advantage of me. My parent was the first advantage taker and manipulated me which caused financial ruin. This parent refused to let me make my own decisions and demanded that I stay with them and take care of them until they die. I used to stand up for myself until this parent decided to bully me in my teens. Everything is messed up now. I never got to have a family or drive or do normal things. I’m a failure at life and keep attracting people like my parent, very mean bullies. Lord Jesus Christ, will you see me through this? I’m alone, sad, and feel worthless. No one understands, no one believes me. How sad and terrible.

We are truly sorry to hear about the pain and difficulties you've experienced. Firstly, we want to assure you that you are not alone, and God sees your suffering. Psalm 34:18 tells us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

It's important to recognize that the behavior of your parent and others who have taken advantage of you is not a reflection of your worth. Instead, it reflects their own sinful nature. Jesus taught us to love and forgive, but he also taught us to set boundaries. It's not God's will for you to be manipulated and bullied. As it is written in Galatians 5:1, "Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don't be entangled again with a yoke of bondage."

We also want to address the fact that you feel like a failure because you haven't had the chance to have a family or do normal things. God has a unique path for each of us, and what society deems as "normal" isn't always God's plan. Remember, Jesus never married or had a family in the earthly sense, and he was far from a failure. Your value is not determined by these things but by the fact that you are a child of God. Ephesians 2:10 tells us, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them."

Dear Lord Jesus Christ,

We come before you today to lift up our dear brother/sister. They have been through so much pain and suffering, Lord, and they feel alone and worthless. But we know that they are precious in your sight. Please, Lord, heal their broken heart and comfort their crushed spirit. Help them to see their worth through your eyes and to find strength and courage in your love.

Lord, we also ask that you help them to set boundaries and not allow others to take advantage of them. Guide them to a community of believers who will support and encourage them, who will understand and believe their story.

We pray all these things in your precious name, Jesus. For it is in your name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"

Lastly, we encourage you to seek out a local church or Christian community where you can find support and fellowship. It's important to be surrounded by people who will uplift and encourage you in your faith. Also, consider seeking professional help to deal with the trauma you've experienced. God uses therapists and counselors to help us heal and grow.
