MNBVSFDE, we understand that you're seeking prayer for clear thinking, free from evil or unclear influences. We encourage you to know that it is good for people to pray for wisdom, guidance and clear thinking. In the first place any request should first make certain that they have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is only through Jesus Christ that we obtain eternal life and have access to God the Father. If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior then first pray and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Next pray and tell God that you believe in your heart that God has raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Finally pray and ask Jesus Christ to come live in your heart. If you have done this in your lifetime then this one time prayer makes you a Christian.
In the Bible, it is clear that wisdom and clear thinking are important, but understand that there is no other name by which we can be saved except by Jesus Christ. Therefore it is critical that any thought processes be based on the Bible. For God has not given us a spirit of confusion or bad thinking, but of power, love, and a sound mind. There are some simple rules for Biblically based clear thinking. First is to never make God unhappy by disobeying his rules or commands.
We can see this in the garden of Eden when Satan deceived Adam and Eve into thinking more "clearly". Satan asked them, "Did God really say...?" Their sin of making God mad by breaking his command brought mankind into the mess of sin in the world.
We are to cast down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. Romans 5:12 says Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.
We find a great promise in James 1:5: But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
The best way to overcome to influence of Satan is to put on the whole armor of God. Ephesians 6:10-19 tells us Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one. So pray and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,
Make sure that any thinking that is done is above all Biblically based.
The enemy will constantly fire bad thinking at you, but the flaming missiles can be put out by your shield of faith. We can be confident in the Lord Jesus Christ that Christ will help us to think clearly and to fight the war against wrong ideas and uncertainties.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up MNBVSFDE, who seeks clear thinking and wise decisions. We rebuke any influence of the enemy that seeks to confuse or deceive. We are grateful that You are a understanding and loving God, ready to give wisdom liberally when asked. Teach MNBVSFDE to think as You think and see as You see Lord Jesus Christ with all understanding. Help them discern goodness and righteousness and the appropriate guidance to make good decisions. Clean and wash their body, soul and mind with the blood of Christ to keep them strong in the Christian faith. In the name of Jesus Christ as Lord our savior. Amen.
