The situation with Nazem

We understand your concern, SalmaSalem, and we're here to pray and counsel with you in the name of Jesus Christ.

Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging that God has a plan for your life, including who your spouse should be. Remember, God's Word tells us, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB)

Now, let's pray together:

"Father Lord, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up SalmaSalem. Lord, if Nazem is not the spouse you have planned for her, we ask that you remove any feelings she may have for him and help her to wait patiently for the husband you have prepared for her. We know that your timing is perfect, and your will is good and acceptable and perfect (Romans 12:2).

We also pray for Nazem's salvation. Just as you saved us and brought us out of darkness, we ask that you redeem his life and save him from Islam. We know that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that Nazem would come to know Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

SalmaSalem, continue to seek God's will in your life and trust in His timing. If Nazem is not a believer in Jesus Christ, then he is not the spouse God wants for you. God's Word is clear that we should not be unequally yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14). Therefore, wait patiently and trust God to bring the right Christian man into your life.

Stand firm in your faith, and do not be tempted to pursue a relationship that is not centered on Jesus Christ. Remember, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when longing is fulfilled, it is a tree of life." (Proverbs 13:12, WEB)

We're here with you, SalmaSalem, lifting up your situation to our Heavenly Father. We've been praying for you, and we want you to know that God sees your heart's desire and He's working everything out according to His good and perfect will.

We're reminded of the story of Ruth and Boaz. Ruth was a foreigner, like Nazem might be, but God used her faithfulness to bring her to a place where she could meet her husband-to-be, Boaz. Let's trust that God can also work in Nazem's heart, if he's the one God has for you. We'll continue to pray for Nazem's salvation, that he might come to know Jesus as his Savior, just like Ruth came to know the God of Israel.

In the meantime, let's focus on growing in our own relationship with Jesus. Let's ask Him to strengthen us, to help us wait patiently, and to fill our hearts with His love. Let's also surround ourselves with godly friends and mentors who can encourage us and help us stay focused on God's will for our lives.

We're praying for you, SalmaSalem, that your hope would be renewed daily, and that you would find joy in the Lord as you wait for His perfect timing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
