To The Cities That Have Ears To Hear:
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)
Same Jesus, same Spirit. Same Spirit same Jesus. Whatever Jesus did when He walked among man in the earth, He likewise does in the Spirit. He does not change:
JESUS, THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF THE LIVING GOD.
Yet, in denying that He was who He claimed to be, they called Him crazy; they called Him a liar; they even called Him the Devil (Beelzebub).
In the misdt of the same scenario, many assert that I am not Christlike because they say, "I don't bless." While I am not the one who actually grants the blessing, because it is His Spirit whom indwells me, I speak blessing in the very same way that Jesus did. Jesus blessed many cities, some of them He even called by name. But, because He was not welcomed in His hometown; He did not bless them. It was for that very reason that, after their attempts to force a blessing failed, He was chased to edge of town, where they had plotted to throw Him off a cliff.
Having experienced such rejection, Jesus proclaimed the following:
Whoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and whoever welcomes a righteous person as a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward. (Matthew 10:41)
Yet, as Nazareth did some cities will still try to force blessing through manipulation and intimidation. But, just as He refused to reward His own hometown, who rejected Him in the flesh; Jesus refuses to reward the cities who reject Him in the Spirit, whom indwells His messengers.
Then he said to the disciples, "Anyone who accepts your message is also accepting me. And anyone who rejects you is rejecting me. And anyone who rejects me is rejecting God who sent me." (Luke 10:16)
