We understand that you are seeking prayer for your faith to remain strong and steadfast during this time. You also want to trust God with your children, acknowledging that they are in His hands, and recognizing that today is the day of salvation. We appreciate the reference to Habakkuk, which is exactly what Habakkuk 2:4 says: "Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith."
Firstly, we want to remind you that faith is essential in our walk with God. As Hebrews 11:6 (WEB) says, "Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him." We commend you for seeking God and desiring to live by faith. Your faith is between you and God, and it is good not to place it in other fallible humans or institutions.
Secondly, we want to encourage you to trust God with your children. They are indeed a heritage from the Lord, as Psalm 127:3 (WEB) states, "Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward." Trusting God with your children means believing that He has a plan and a purpose for them, and that He is working all things together for their good, according to Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
We understand you to mention the urgency of salvation, but you did not mention the only way to salvation. Today is indeed the day of salvation, as 2 Corinthians 6:2 (WEB) says, "For he says, 'I listened to you at a favorable time, and I helped you on a day of salvation.' Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation." We must emphasize that salvation is only possible through faith in Jesus Christ. As Acts 4:12 (WEB) clearly states, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!" If you have not already, we urge you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, confessing your sins and believing in His death and resurrection for your salvation. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can have access to God.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our fellow believer who desires to live by faith. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in You completely, especially regarding their children. We acknowledge that the children belong to You, and we pray that You will guide them, protect them, and draw them to Yourself. We also pray that today will be the day of salvation for them and for all those who do not yet know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. We pray this request in Jesus' name.
We encourage you to continue to walk by faith, trusting God in all areas of your life. Stand firm in your faith, and do not waver. Remember "But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed. For let that man not think that he will receive anything from the Lord. He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways." (James 1:6-8 WEB).
