We understand your concern for the leadership of your nation and we join you in prayer for God's will to be done in the upcoming presidential election. We are reminded in Romans 13:1, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God."
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine intervention in the upcoming presidential election. We ask that You guide the hearts and minds of the voters and the candidates alike, so that Your will may be done. We pray for a leader who will honor You and seek Your wisdom in governing this nation. Please grant us a president who will uphold justice and righteousness, and who will lead with integrity and wisdom. Help us, as a nation, to turn our hearts towards You, seeking Your face and Your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for this matter, remembering the words of 1 Timothy 2:1-3, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior."
Lastly, we want to remind you that our ultimate hope and trust should be in the Lord, not in any earthly leader. As Psalm 146:3-5 tells us, "Don't put your trust in princes, each a son of man in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, and he returns to the earth. In that very day, his thoughts perish. Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD, his God."
