THE REBELLION: THE MAN OF LAWLESSNESS: 2 OCTOBER 2023 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord: Amen Dear brothers and sisters in the Lord, we believe that you have heard and hope that it has come to your knowledge that we are living in the last days of the age and are looking forward to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ so that in him we may be glorified and share in his glorious body and be with him for eternity. And not only that, but we know that he will bring with him Judgment on the wrong doer, the ungodly and the sinner and continue in their punishment in the lake of fire. This is the righteous and holy Judgment to save those who believe in him from the coming wrath of God and to hold the sinner to the punishment by fire because of their wickedness and godlessness. Dear brothers, far be it from God, to treat the righteous and the sinner alike and that is why the righteous in Christ Jesus will be saved from the coming wrath but the sinner be punished for their sins in hell. This is so, because they have not loved the truth and so be saved but have delighted in wickedness. In their ungodliness and wickedness, they suppress the truth and trample the Spirit of grace given through our Lord Jesus Christ. Their destiny is what their actions deserve. But, dear brothers and sisters in the Lord, know this that, "Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathered to him, that day will not come until the *rebellion* occurs and the man of **lawless* is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. The rebellion, the man of lawlessness will oppose everything that is called God and will exalt himself over everything that is called God and is worshipped so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God. The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders and in every sorts of evil that deceives those who are perishing. (2 Thessalonians 2:1-10) Dear brothers, before the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, rebellion and lawlessness will increase to alarming levels and wickedness and godlessness will fill the earth. The fear of God will no longer with the people. Sin will reach grievous levels in the form of sexual immorality, corruption and violence of unimaginable levels. Killing and destroying each other for selfish ambitions and no respect for human life. Each one does what he pleases and this world is turned into a jungle and lawless place to live on. Justice will be far from them and righteousness shall not even be seen close to them. They have forsaken the law of God and have chosen their own ungodly ways. For "Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, *sin* *is* *lawlessness* . He who does what is sinful is of the devil because the devil had been sinning from the beginning" (1 John 3:4; 8) This rebellion and lawlessness will be revealed in the wickedness of men when they forsake and turn away from the law of God which teaches us to love one another and to live a righteous life in Christ Jesus and to obey God in everything. To fear God and to turn away from sin and to humble ourselves before God and to worship him ONLY because he is God who created all things. He alone deserves our worship and praise and thanksgiving because we are his creation created to worship him and recieve from him all things for life and godliness in Christ Jesus. And to believe in his Son Jesus Christ who died and rose again because in him, we have life. But the people of this world have rejected Jesus Christ and have wandered away from the faith and followed decieving spirits and things taught by demons. Just as it is written, "There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self control, brutal, not lovers of good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. Having a form of godliness but denying it's power. Have nothing to do with them" (2 Timothy 3:1-5) Dear brothers and sisters in the Lord, the end time lawlessness and rebellion before the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ will look like this when people literally sell themselves to the devil and regard not the way of God. And now, we ask: Is not all this among us? Are we not living in this generation of wickedness? Surely, you have seen the unforgiving, the proud, those who love money, those who do not obey their parents and those who love pleasure, we have seen them and they are among us. This is evidence that the world is coming to an end and that our Lord Jesus Christ is coming back and will not delay. What about those who boast of what they have and what they do? The brutal, the murderers and the treacherous: are they not among us? The unforgiving. Those who say, "Over my dead body, I will not forgive him" Are they not among us? The arrogant and the proud. Surely, we have seen them and have heard of them. They are among us. Having a form of godliness but denying it's power. Are they not these who go to church and confess Jesus but their hearts are far from him? Every Sunday, they go to church, but they live a sinful life. They confess Jesus but reject the Holy Spirit who works in us for righteousness and holiness. But we ask: Is not the Holy Spirit in us a sign that we are born again Christians? How then do you become a child of God if you are not born of the Spirit of God? What does the scripture say, "Flesh gives birth to flesh but the Spirit gives birth to spirit". Dear brothers, God is Spirit and those who worship him must worship him in Spirit and Truth. And Jesus Christ is the Truth. But they have rejected Jesus Christ. Have nothing to do with them. But do not treat them as enemies but as brothers. Love them and pray for them hoping that God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the Truth and escape the trap of the devil who has taken them captive to do his will. As for you who believe in Jesus Christ, pray for them and have mercy on them and if possible by the grace of God, snatch others from the fire, the coming wrath of God. For the holy Judgments of God are coming and will not delay against all godlessness and wickedness of the world. For they have given themselves to drink the cup of the wrath of God in wickedness. They have not sought the righteous way of God and the fear of God is far from their hearts. This is the man of rebellion and the man of lawlessness. The work of satan displayed in all kinds of evil. Just as it is written, "The Spirit clearly says that in later times, some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons" (1 Timothy 4:1-5) According to the scripture, we understand that the Word, "some will abandon the faith" reveals that these people were once with the church but have abandoned the faith, the true teaching and are now following deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. This reveals that they were once with us but have left us to join deceiving spirits and the teachings of demons. This is, so that this scripture may be fullfilled that says, "They went out from us, but they did not really belonged to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us, but their going showed that none of them belonged to us" (1 John 2:19) This is the reason why you see some churches and some individuals have now left with a form of godliness but their lives do not reflect our Lord Jesus Christ whom they claim to serve and worship. They confess Jesus but deny him by their way of life. They reject the Holy Spirit but they say they worship God. And we ask: How do you worship God without the help of the Holy Spirit? It is clear to those who know the truth that these people worship the devil but put on a mask to cover their greed and selfish ambitions. They have studied the Word of God not to preach it for salvation of souls but as a form of employment. And they earn their living from the church and exploit congregants for their own selfish gains. No one takes care of the widow, the poor and the fatherless. The "prophets" promise them salvation yet they themselves are a synagogue of satan. In their wicked schemes, many are led astray. But, as for you, you who believe in Jesus Christ, you who love one another from the heart, you who live a righteous life in Christ Jesus, do not worry, you will not fall prey to their schemes, because you have the anointing from God, the gift of the Holy Spirit, to guide you into all the truth, and you know the truth. But, do not live the life of the world but imitate God in everything you do. If anyone loves the world then the love of God is not in him. For everything in the world, the cravings of sinful men, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does comes not from God but from the world. Have you not read that to love the world is hatred with God. And we know that the world and it's desires pass away but the man who does the will of God lives forever. Today, they may look down upon us and despise us, insults us and call our names as evil, but Jesus Christ our Lord is faithful, and tomorrow the glory of God is ours as he promised. And we know that all his promises are true because the Word of God is the Truth. And in this, we do not lose hope but we peservere in our trials and suffering so that we might share in Christ's sufferings and we will also share in his glory when he appears. But now is the time of grief and suffering as God works in us and through us to bring salvation to all the elect of God. In our walk with the Lord, we encounter great opposition from sinful men and false brothers who have inflitrated the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ to stir up trouble for us. And man's enemies are members of his own household even her who lies in your embrace, just like Eve, be careful what you say, for the devil is at work in them. But do not regard them as enemies but as brothers for the enemy is one, the devil, who works in them and through them. We fight not the flesh, but the evil spirit at work in them. And as children of God, we are known by love because God is Love. Therefore, do not regard them as enemies but pray for them that they may be saved. For our battle is won in Love. But in them is the devil manifesting himself through the work of demons to steal, to kill and to destroy families. Just as it is written, "Then I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs. They came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. They are spirits of demons performing miraculous signs and they go out to the kings of the whole world to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty" (Revelation 16:13-15) Dear brothers, now that this Word of Truth has been given to you, you now understand that even demons can perform miracles by their own magic arts.(Exodus 7:8-13) The difference is that miraculous signs by the dark world are not for good and can never produce or bring about anything good. They are just for deception and designed to confuse the mind of the follower to turn them from following God their Creator. Darkest can not open the eyes of the blind and can not heal the sick and if it is "healing", it is only temporary and meant to decieve the eyes of the onlooker. For there is nothing good that comes from the kingdom of darkness. The kingdom is divided. Darkness drive away another darkness. Remember, dear brother, evil is darkness and darkness is evil. (John 10:21) (Luke 11:14-26) And if evil chases away another evil, what happens with the man? And I thought, it means a lesser evil has left but a greater evil has occupied the house. So then, the condition of the man will be worse than before. But in the end, darkness will be swallowed in victory by the blood of Jesus Christ just as it is written, "Pharoah then summoned wise men and sorcerers and the Egyptian magicians and also did the same thing by their own secret arts: Each one threw down his staff and it became a snake. But Aaron's staff swallowed up their staffs" (Exodus 7:8-12) Dear brothers and sisters in the Lord, the same evil spirits that were at work during Pharoah's days are the same spirits at work in our time today. This is the evil spirit that opposed Abel the first prophet of God when he was murdered by his brother Cain because of his righteousness. And satan was at work in Cain, Abel's brother, so it is today. The Lord Jesus Christ said, "Watch out for false prophets. Not everyone who says to me, "Lord Lord", will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, "Lord, Lord" , did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drove out demons and perform many miracles? Then, I will tell them plainly, " I never knew you, away from me, you evil doers" (Mathews 7:15-23) Dear brothers, this Word of prophecy is in its fullfilment at this present time. We know that many false prophets have come and are performing miraculous signs among the people but they do not belong to Christ. They are agents of satan disguising themselves as members of the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ. And they speak the name Jesus as deception and out of their mouths and not from the heart. Just as it is written, "For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder for satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising then if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve" (2 Corinthians 11: 4; 13-15) But many have followed miracles and have not sought the faith for the salvation of their souls. Dear brothers, anyone can perform miracles but it takes the eyes of faith to understand the miracles from God and those performed by darkness through their secret magic arts. You need the eyes of faith to understand this, otherwise, you will be decieved and led astray to destruction. For, "the god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so that they can not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God" (2 Corinthians 4:4) These preachers have founded "churches" and they lure congregants by charm for their own selfish ambitions. In their greed, they preach Christ to the congregants distorting the scriptures to suit their ungodly desires. Just as it is written, "It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry" (Phillippians 1:15-18) They preach Christ and confess Jesus but not sincerely but out of envy and rivalry to stir up trouble for the saints of God. So then, dear brothers, do not believe every spirit that speaks about Jesus but find out if they are true and sincere in their teachings. Because their preaching and teaching is very close to the truth yet a very thin line is drawn between their teachings and the Truth to deceive those who are perishing. Check if they preach Jesus Christ the Son of God who came in the flesh and was crucified and was raised from the dead. Check if their gospel is centered on our Lord Jesus Christ the Son of God crucified. Check if they preach and accept the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God given to those who believe in Jesus Christ. These three: Jesus Christ, the gospel of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the gift of the Holy Spirit is the key for any believer to verify in the Spirit by the help of the Holy Spirit, if truly the church belongs to Christ. Any deviation from these three is a sign that the assembly may be the assembly of the synagogue of satan. Stay away from them, otherwise, you will be deceived to destruction. Dear brothers, do not believe only miracles. Anyone can perform miracles. You have heard the Lord Jesus Christ saying to them, "I never knew you, away from me, you evil doers" (Matthew 7:15-23) But many today are running after miracles instead of the salvation of their souls. It is better by far to seek the salvation of your soul rather than to rush for miracles, worse still temporary and wicked miracles from the kingdom of darkness. Where is your faith in God? It is written, "My people perish for lack of knowledge" Dear brothers, "I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. For such people are not serving our Lord Jesus Christ but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery, they decieve the minds of naive people" (Romans 16:17-18) "Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position" (1 Peter 3:17-18) And, in view of this, my brothers and sisters in the Lord, we urge you to be vigilant and watch your life and doctrine closely that you may not fall into the trap of the devil so as to win you over. But resist the devil and live a righteous life in Christ Jesus with all holiness. Let there be no even a hint of sexual immorality among you and resit every evil but be the light of the world and in this you will gain eternal life in Christ Jesus. But those who delight in wickedness, God has promised eternal punishment in the lake of fire. The fire that consumes them will not be queched and their worm will not die. From everlasting to everlasting, they will be tormented in the fire, the punishment reserved for the ungodly, the wicked and the sinner. As for you, it is better to suffer now at the hands of sinful men who oppose us, but enjoy eternity with God forever when Jesus Christ appears. Rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin in this life and suffer eternal condemnation when Christ appears. As for me, I prefer to suffer in this world because of righteousness and enjoy eternity with God when he comes and at the turn of a new order. For this present earth and the present heavens are reserved for destruction by fire at the punishment of the ungodly. But in keeping with his promise, we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness. (2 Peter 3: 13) As for you, know this: When a person speaks, it is the spirit in a person that speaks. When you listen, find out which spirit is speaking? Because it is either the Light is speaking or darkness is speaking. There is no other. Only the Righteous One or the evil one. "Dear brothers, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world" (1 John 4:1-6) But as for you, you who believe in Jesus Christ, you who love one another from the heart, you who have received the promised Holy Spirit, do not worry, the one who is in us is greater than the one who is in the world. We have overcome them by the blood of Jesus Christ. Only remain alert and always pray in the Holy Spirit on all occasions and with this in mind, pray also for all the saints of God that they might escape the trap of the evil one. "Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God" (3 John 1:11) But in this we are not surprised. They follow and accept him or her as the Overseer and "a man of God" and "a prophet or prophetess of God among them", even when it is clear to everyone that the "prophet" or " bishop" or "spiritual father" as they call him is committing adultery with congregants and that he or she lives a sinful life. Despite all this glaring evidence that he serves darkness, they still go to him. This is to fullfil the scripture that says, "The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so that they can not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God" (2 Corinthians 4:4) Only in Christ Jesus, their eyes are opened. But, we ask: how then are their eyes going to be opened when they have rejected him? Only those who believe in him will have their eyes opened but as it is their eyes are closed and they are shortsighted to see only the things of this world and not the things of the Spirit.(Luke 4:16-21) But as for you who believe in Jesus Christ, you who love one another from the heart, you who have faith in God, do not be like them, but come out of them and be separate. But pray for them as a way to show them love. Get rid of all offences and bad feelings toward another fellow human being for in this, you grieve the Holy Spirit who is in you. You are not alone, but God lives in us by the Holy Spirit he has given us. Therefore, do not put out the Spirit's fire in anger, unforgiveness, resentment, hatred towards others and sexual immorality. He who sins sexually, sins against his body which is the temple of God. Let there be no hint of sexual immorality among believers in Christ Jesus for because of this, the Judgment of God is coming down from heaven against all ungodliness and wickedness of the world. A raging fire that consumes the enemies of God. It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God in Judgment. "No one who is born of God will continue to sin because God's seed remains in him. He can not go on sinning, because he has been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are. Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God, nor is anyone who does not love his brother" (1 John 3:8-10) And remember, a man's brother is another fellow human being regardless of his race, colour, creed, or faith: love them all and pray for them for it is God's will that everyone should come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved. For there is One God and One Mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ, who gave himself up as a ransom for the forgiveness of the sins of the world but especially for those who believe in him. For there is no any other name given to man under heaven through which men shall be saved except the Name Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who came in the flesh and was crucified for our sins. He was raised to life for our justification. Whoever believes in him will be saved. (Romans 10:8-13) But remember, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathered to him, that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawless is revealed. The man doomed to destruction. And now that this revelation has been given you, we believe you now understand that we are living in the last days of the end of the age for sin has reached alarming levels and sexual immorality is rife even among married couples, institutionalized corruption and the escalation of violence and killing of human beings by fellow human beings. Wars and wars everywhere and nation rising against another nation. There is no peace in the world any more but tribulation. Because of this glaring evidence of man's rebellion against God and lawlessness in their evil thoughts, we are fully convinced that Jesus Christ is coming back and will not delay. And that the end of age has come. It is getting closer each day than we first believed. In view of this, we implore you, brothers and sisters, consider this Word of warning seriously and repent and seek God and Jesus Christ our Lord and in this you will save your soul from going into the pit of hell. And now we pray that the love of God and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us forever and ever Amen. Let's pray O God, our Father, have mercy on me. Holy Father, we know that your Word is Life. Now, let your Word abide in me. That is what I pray for. Save my soul today. In Jesus Christ name I pray Amen
