Steven, we understand your concern. The promise of the Rapture and the New Heaven and Earth are indeed wonderful hopes for the future, but we also need God's help in the present. The Bible encourages us to cast our anxieties on God because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). It is wonderful that you are looking forward to His return, but we also need to be equipped to live for Him now.
In the meantime we also need to continually pray, ask, and believe in God's ability to change any situation we are facing.
Jesus taught us to pray for our daily needs, not just our future hopes. In the Lord's Prayer, we are taught to ask for our daily bread (Matthew 6:11 WEB), acknowledging our constant dependence on God. We should also ask for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10 WEB), aligning our present circumstances with His divine purpose.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Steven. We thank You for the hope of the Rapture and the New Heaven and Earth, but we also ask for Your intervention in Steven's life right now. Help him to cast all his anxieties on You, knowing that You care for him. Provide for his daily needs, and let Your will be done in his life as it is in heaven. Guide him through his trials and troublesome situations. Make a way where there seems to be no way. We rebuke any fear, anxiety, worry, or discouragement that may be weighing heavy on him and declare that the joy of the Lord is His strength. Help his unbelief and increase his faith as we pray. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Steven, remember that God is with you in the present, He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). Trust in Him, and He will strengthen your heart. He will help you in the present as you wait for the future.
It is important to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we can approach God the Father. Jesus said that whatever we ask in His name, it will be done so that the Father may be glorified in the Son (John 14:13 WEB).
We encourage you to keep your hope in the future, but also trust God in the present. Keep praying and seeking His face. He is faithful, and He will help you through your current problems. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith and keep your faith looking unto Him (Hebrews 12:2 WEB). We are here with you in prayer and support.
