THE PLANS OF THE LORD STAND FIRM FOREVER!

Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him. Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre. Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy. Psalm 33:1-3

Will you praise and worship the Lord this Sunday and every day for His greatness? We serve an awesome mighty God. I would encourage you to read Psalm 33. The author, who many say is David, calls on God's righteous people to praise God for who He is and for all His works. We are to sing joyfully to the Lord, with music and sing to Him a new song with joy. I know that when you are praising the Lord, you may even be crying, but continue to praise the Lord anyway. When you are discouraged or defeated, may I urge you to praise the Lord as a sacrifice of praise and even create your own words of praise in the car as you go to church or to work.

For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love. By the word of the Lord were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth. He gathers the waters of the sea into jars; he puts the deep into storehouses. Psalm 33:4-7

May you be so encouraged as you know without a doubt that the Word of the Lord is right and true, but God loves righteousness and justice. Let that encourage you as you stand for the sanctity of your marriage. Seek the Lord for His divine justice for your marriage, your husband or wife and for your family.

Can you comprehend all that was created by the Word of the Lord? Every day and especially the Lord's Day you need to praise the Lord for who He is, but also for what He has made. The heavens and the earth, the moon, the sun, all the waters, the beautiful mountains and the list goes on. God created everything by saying, "God said." He spoke and it happened. Can you get excited by what the Lord could say or do for you, your marriage and millions of other marriages that need to be spoken back to life today? Never forget to pray every day for thousands of hearts to be transformed by our awesome mighty God.

As I read this Psalm more than once, I would highlight a verse and circle different words and then as I read further into the Psalm, I got even more excited. I pray today you will read Psalm 33 more than once and possibly in different Bible versions and may the Holy Spirit speak to your heart and give you hope if you feel your marriage is dead.

Do you remember, especially on the Lord's Day, that your Lord God can do anything? He is great in power! You and I need to learn more about Him each day of our lives and believe what He has done in the past, He can do now and in the future. He is trustworthy and faithful.

Let me share one of my favorite scriptures that you could memorize and speak it daily:

"For nothing is impossible with God." Luke 1:37

Are you living your life for yourself or for your Lord God? The Lord desires that every person would come to Him including your spouse and lost loved ones to be their Lord and Savior. He wants you to allow Him to be your Husband, Protector and Provider. Allow Him to do miracles in your life by dying to your flesh and living totally for Him.

What are you doing daily or weekly for the Lord? Could you go and volunteer in the nursery so young mothers could go to the church service? Since you have been reading and studying the Bible, why not become a Sunday School teacher or help with the young kids or the youth department. Many churches have a Kid's or Junior church or many other types of classes during a church service. Why not become a teacher or a helper there? You of all people have a heart for children and imagine how many of them are hurting because of family problems that no one knows about. Ask the Lord how you can serve Him weekly. I can guarantee you will be blessed.

Do you fear the Lord that you are being disobedient to what He wants you to do? If you are praying, fighting and standing for your marriage, it does not mean that you have to be on the bookshelf and never be involved in using the gifts that the Lord has given you. Ask the Lord how you can serve Him right now.

Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the people of the world revere him. Psalm 33:8

He who fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death. Proverbs 14:26-27

Do you believe God's ways and purposes are the best way? I pray that you will desire to have God's divine wisdom, knowledge and understanding in knowing that His way is the only way in your life and in your marriage! Your ways may seem right, but God has the "best" way and He can see the completed picture.

The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the Lord stand forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. Psalm 33:10-11

My prayer is that you will write the verses above and meditate on them for several days. The plans of the Lord stand forever. I want to obey my Lord and know that He can block or stop man's plans at any time. If He does not, we must trust Him and wait on His perfect timing.

"I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted." Job 42:2

Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21

My prayer for this week is that you will trust your Lord God. It may seem He has been silent for a season, but He is still right there with you. He is still listening to your every cry. Are you still reading the Bible? Are you still praying? Will you keep your eyes on the Lord and "stop" looking at your circumstances? This is a must! Fear the Lord, not man. The Lord will deliver you from your enemies.

As you read the end of Psalm 33, you will read that we have to "wait" for the Lord's deliverance, and "wait" for His answers to your prayers. Will you trust in the Lord's promises that He has spoken to you? My prayer is that you will put all your trust and hope in your Lord God. He will never fail you. Rest in His arms only! He knows your every need!

But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you.Psalm 33:18-22

Trust in the Lord,
