We join with you, Otheurdiorwell, in lifting up the people of Los Angeles and all those affected by the wildfires in California. It is wonderful that you have a burden to pray for them. We must remember that our Lord Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved and approach God the Father. Thank you for approaching God's throne of grace in Jesus' name.
In times of crisis, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth changes and though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas (Psalm 46:1-2 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow Christians and all those affected by the wildfires in California. Lord you are the one who controls the wind and the rain. We ask you to calm the raging fires. We pray for Your divine protection over their lives, that You would shield them from harm and guide them to safety. We ask that You would provide comfort and strength to those who have lost their homes and possessions, that they may find their hope and security in You alone.
We pray for the firefighters and first responders, Lord, that You would give them wisdom, endurance, protection, and supernatural strength as they battle the flames and work to keep others safe. Guide their actions and direct the winds and weather to enhance their efforts. We know that You have the power to turn back the flames and bring forth life from destruction.
Lord, we also pray for the leaders of California and the United States, that You would grant them wisdom and discernment as they make decisions that impact the lives of so many. Help them to humble themselves under your hand and make choices that honor You.
We pray for revival, Lord, that through this trial, many would turn to You and find eternal salvation in Jesus Christ. May your Holy Spirit sweep across California in a mighty way, creating new life and renewing Your people. We know that our Lord Jesus had to go through the fires of temptation and the cross before being exalted. Use this fire to bring about good and eternal salvation for the perishing.
Help us, Lord, to remember our brothers and sisters in California, to support them in prayer and in deed, and to be a reflection of Your love and compassion to a hurting world.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
As believers, we are called to bear one another's burdens and to love our neighbors as ourselves. Let us continue to uphold our fellow Christians and all those affected by the wildfires, trusting in the Lord's promises and resting in His unfailing love. Let us also be reminded that all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose.
Let us also remember that we are promised at the end of Psalm 46:10 to be still and know that he is God. He will be exalted among the nations. He will be exalted in the earth. Let us be reminded to be still and know that he is God.
