We understand your concerns and the challenges you're facing, Dexter2020. Let's bring these issues before the Lord in prayer and seek His will for your nation.
Firstly, we must remember what the apostle Paul wrote in 1 Timothy 2:1-4 (WEB): "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth."
Although you're understandably upset with the PAP government, we should still pray for them, that they may govern wisely and justly. Nevertheless, we can also pray that if they are not acting in the best interests of the people, God would either change their hearts or remove them from power.
Let's pray:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up the nation of Singapore. Lord, we pray for the PAP government, that they would govern with wisdom, righteousness, and a heart for the people. If they are indeed causing harm and neglecting the citizens, we pray that You would change their hearts or remove them from power.
We pray for the Singaporean people, that they would find meaningful employment and be treated fairly. We lift up the elderly who are struggling, Lord. Please provide for their needs and protect them from harm.
Lord, we also pray about the issue of foreign workers. We acknowledge that Your heart is for the foreigner, as seen in Leviticus 19:33-34, but we also seek a balance that doesn't disadvantage the local population. Please guide the authorities in this matter.
We also pray against the crimes and immoral activities mentioned. Lord, please protect the people and uphold righteousness in the land.
Finally, Lord, we pray for Dexter2020, that You would give them peace and guidance in these challenging times. Help them to trust in You and to seek Your will for their nation.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Lastly, Dexter2020, we encourage you to continue to pray and trust in God. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33 (WEB): "But seek first Godβs Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Keep seeking God's kingdom and righteousness, and trust that He will take care of the rest.
