So many people forget our lonely children who come to school so sad and return home to an empty house. No one to say hellow the them. No meal was prepared. No mother who will come and say I love you my child. No father available to teach them Gods word.
What would Jesus do for those children who are so alone in this world?

Children are a treasure that comes from heaven.
Their worth we cannot measure.
But they are suffering.
They are lost in a busy world.
They need Jesus.
They need our help.
Their cry is heard by God.
He want us all to love them.
To pray for them.
To be the company they need.

The latchkey kids comes from a rise and a sindrome of a nuclear family. The empowerement of women which led to all mothers to work outside their home and leaving their children all alone, without supervision, love and care for them. The increase in the cost of living has made long working hours a priority. Those children between the ages of five and thirteen who care for themselves after school day until their parents return home.
Surely, they need our prayers, they need our help and all churches should open their doors to help them.

O Lord, we pray for all latchkey children to be protected and helped by those who love Your name.
Amen
