THE LITTLE THINGS
Sometimes I feel like I will never smile again, which scares me because one of the most precious gifts that GOD gives us to share with others, is the natural beauty of a smile. In trying to cope with my current challenges, I have had to come up with ways to stay focused on the positive side of life and even bring to remembrance those little things that make me smile, like:
The innocence of anticipation and excitement in a child's eyes.
That knowing essence behind the smile of a gray haired old lady.
The beauty of a red bird perched on a wooden fence.
The burst of the sunshine ushering in a new day and the awesome colors that GOD uses to paint the heavens as the sun disappears behind the moon.
The comfort of a rainy day, as GOD ensures that the earth continues to bud: And the added perk of the rainbow that sometimes follows.
I absolutely love the ocean, there's almost no place I'd rather be, than sitting on the beach, eavesdropping on the deep secrets of the sea, as the tide flows in and out. I feel a certain oneness with GOD as I appreciate my smallness in comparison to the vastness of GOD's ocean.
A breeze that I can't see, yet I know it's there because the trees dance to its' melody.
How awesome is GOD? He could have simply filled the the earth and the ocean with beauty, but HE was gracious enough to provide both as sources of sustenance. (We so don't deserve it)
Then, there's my neighbor's two year old son who runs to me and gives me great big humongous hugs and sugars (kisses), as he caresses my face and explores the intricacies of my hair, ONE DAY; but looks at me as if to say - who are where did you come from? THE VERY NEXT DAY (LOL, priceless)
I know I have some issues and there are some things about me that need to change. Please be patient with me; I know GOD is working on me in those areas. It's not such a "little thing", but necessary if I am to remain in HIS presence; And in HIS presence is where I have to be.
CREATOR OF ALL; GOD IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!
Love n' Blessings💕
(P.S. - Sorry, I tend to get somewhat poetic when I'm melancholy)
