We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your husband. It's natural to feel the emptiness and miss his presence deeply. The Bible tells us that two are better than one, for if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn't have another to lift him up. This is especially true in marriage, which is a beautiful covenant designed by God to provide companionship, support, and love.
In your time of grief, remember that God is always there to comfort and strengthen you. As it says in Psalm 147:3, He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds. Take heart in knowing that God cares for you and that your husband is in a better place if they knew Jesus Christ as their savior. Your prayers should always be directed to our Father in Heaven with Jesus our only mediator. The bible says For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5).
Moving forward, it's important to seek God's will for your life. If you desire to be married again, pray for a godly spouse who will love and cherish you as Christ loves the church. Be patient and trust in God's timing, asking him to prepare you and lead you accordingly. You should also remain pure from fornication, adultery, and other immorality as defined by the bible. Be sure to avoid the thought of having a significant other, boyfriend, girlfriend, or romantic relationship when it should only be to pursue marriage with a compatible Christian believer. Marriage is a serious commitment to be made, and one that should never be broken. Remarkably, the bible says Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her (Mark 10:11) except in certain conditions. Becoming one flesh means the compound is one and cannot easily be separated without causing damage.
Regarding the desires of your heart, remember that God wants to give you good gifts, but His wisdom knows what is best for you. Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4). Make sure to submit your will to God and not hold back any parts concerning others. Make sure what you seek is pleasing to Him. Seek God's forgiveness for your sins and strive to live a life that honors Him remembering all have sinned and need a savior. Consequently, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). So let your new life be guided by The Scriptures.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in Jesus’ name to lift up our sister who is mourning the loss of her husband. We pray that You would comfort her and give her the strength and peace that only You can provide. We ask that You would forgive her sins and guide her in the path that You have for her. If it is Your will, Lord, we pray that You would bring a godly spouse into her life, someone who will love and cherish her as Christ loves the church. Help her to be patient and to trust in Your timing. Help her to remember Christ our only mediator and seek you first. We ask all these things in Jesus’ name.
We encourage you to meditate on God's Word and trust in Him. He is faithful and will see you through this difficult time. If you have not already, make sure to believe in Jesus Christ as the only true savior of man's sins. Remember this means believing God and believing in Jesus Christ. Without Jesus you do not have access to the Father and there is no other way by which you can be saved.
