[Jesus continued his rebuttal to the accusation of casting out a demon by the power of Satan:] "But if I am casting out demons by the power of God, then the Kingdom of God has arrived among you. For when a strong man is fully armed and guards his palace, his possessions are safe — until someone even stronger attacks and overpowers him, strips him of his weapons, and carries off his belongings."
—Luke 11:20-22 NLT
Jesus' power was God's power demonstrated. Jesus' power demonstrated the arrival of the Kingdom of God. Jesus' power was and is stronger than Satan's power and enabled the Son of God to triumph when he was on earth and still enables him to triumph over Satan each day for us. [1] Jesus' power is also our assurance of ultimate victory, deliverance, and salvation. Satan's most treasured "belongings" or treasures are stripped from him and carried away to glory. Those treasures are us!

Thank you, dear Father, for the victory that you won for me in Jesus. Thank you for Jesus' triumph over sin and death. Thank you for rescuing me from the hands of the evil one. Now, dear Father, please give me the courage and the will to stand up to Satan's temptations and assaults knowing that the victory is mine through Christ Jesus my LORD, in whose name I pray. Amen.
