Glorious Sabbath Day People of God
Just because someone speaks a word of prophecy which you dislike (your ears translate it as negativity) neither makes that person evil nor a false prophet. God’s Holy Spirit does not indwell the evil, but He imparts TRUTH.
God's House:
Hebrew 3:6
But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are His house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.
Man-made Houses:
[Acts 7:46-50]
46) “David found favor with God and asked for the privilege of building a permanent Temple for the God of Jacob. 47) But it was Solomon who actually built it. 48) However, l the Most High doesn’t live in temples made by human hands. As the prophet says: 49) ‘Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Could you build me a temple as good as that?’ asks the LORD. ‘Could you build me such a resting place? 50) Didn’t my hands make both heaven and earth?’
Yet, man honors the works of his hands, the temple building, more than he honors the works of God's hand, his neighbor, "God's house."
When Jesus prophesied, as recorded in Matthew, Mark, and Luke, the prophecy was anything but smooth.
[Matthew 24:1-2]
1)Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. 2) And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”
In fact, whenever Jesus prophesied, 99.999% of the time the prophecy could be considered "negative," the undiscerning ear.
• He predicted that his disciples would scatter when he was arrested.
• He predicted that Peter would deny him.
• He predicted that He himself would be handed over, killed, and rise again on the third day.
Though Christ himself has prophesied of these things; man, in disregard for God's Word, seeking to destroy His house, continues to bite at one another. Yet, somehow, arrogantly expects God to allow his man-made houses to remain in tact. My hometown's behavior still breaks my heart, but I realize that all the things must come to pass, for it is written.
Matthew 12:25 But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.
Was Jesus a false prophet? According to His hometown He was.
