The Here and Now!
My ambition is to maintain a personal relationship with Jesus in the 'here and now.'
I'm not one who labours
[over extend one's self] in unraveling future events, politics, or selfish needs for that matter! Don't get me wrong, I keep informed of current events and I do make the occasional jaunts into Revelations, but I will not invest my time at the expense of my personal relationship with Jesus. I see too much trouble when we are focus on matters outside the Love of Jesus.
How many Christians have accused others as being the real antichrist but when those candidates have died, we don't hear too many apologies from those Christians? Apologies are indeed warranted.
If we are not focus on our Loving God expect hatred! In fact, expect any and all unrighteous acts.
Investing in the Love of Jesus assures salvation. We have calibrated ourselves for Love. We are protected from any real destruction.
ESV
We don't need to worry about His return because we keep watch over our proverbial lamps by living with Him in the 'now'. Our present holds His Presence!
However, spending your present outside of Jesus' covering is foolish. Any anchor outside of Christ is dead weight and depletes your moment of His Love. Consequently your lamp has been extinguished. You are walking in darkness in the 'here and now'.
When God comes to judge you, He will be addressing your present self. Not your past or future self. The 'what was' and the 'will be' are shadows without substance.
We all need to surrender our moments to Jesus in the...you guess it - 'here and now!'
Our personal ambitions should be to maintain a personal relationship with Jesus in the 'here and now.'
