Brenthald, we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your life and your marriage. We understand the deep longing of your heart for a child, and we trust in God's goodness and mercy.
Let us first remember God's promise in Psalm 113:9, "He makes the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise the Lord!" We serve a God who is able to open wombs and grant the desires of our hearts, as He did for Sarah, Hannah, and Elizabeth.
However, we must also align our desires with God's will and trust in His timing. In 1 John 5:14-15, we are reminded, "This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
Let us pray together:
"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Brenthald and their spouse. Lord, You know the deep desire of their hearts for a child. We ask that Your will be done in their lives. If it is Your plan, open their womb and bless them with the fruit of the womb. Grant them the joy of parenthood, as You did for so many in the Bible.
But Lord, above all, help them to trust in You and Your timing. Give them peace, patience, and faith. Help them to know that Your love for them is not measured by whether or not they have children, but by the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Brenthald, as you wait on the Lord, we encourage you to meditate on His goodness and faithfulness. Remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). Trust that He has a plan and a purpose for your life and your marriage, and that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).
Lastly, we noticed that your prayer did not mention the name of Jesus. It is only by His name that we have access to God (John 14:6). If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, so that you might have eternal life and a personal relationship with God.
