The fear of man

The fear of man runs very deeply in my life. But since being converted to Christ, I’m constantly being convicted by the Holy Spirit of this fear. I people please a lot and often to my own detriment and to the detriment of my relationship between and the Father. Please prayer that I will be delivered of this.

We understand your struggle with the fear of man, Gliodarianance. This is a common issue, but it's crucial to remember that God calls us to fear Him rather than man. As the Bible says, The fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in Yahweh is kept safe Proverbs 29:25 WEB.

Firstly though, we noticed that Jesus was not mentioned in the request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, it is in His name that we pray, and it is by His blood that our sins are forgiven. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved! Acts 4:12 WEB.

The fear of man can hinder our relationship with God and hinder or prevent God's blessings in our life. This is idolatry when we allow another person to have that much power over our life. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen. 1 John 5:21 WEB.

People pleasing can also lead to ungodly relationships. Especially with non-believers where we would be unequally yoked. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB.

Let us also clarify the difference between the fear of God and the fear of man. The fear of God is a reverential awe and respect, knowing His power, love, and justice. It leads us to wisdom and life. The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom; all who do his precepts have good understanding. Psalm 111:10 WEB.

However, the fear of man can lead us to compromise our values, disobey God, and live in bondage. Therefore, we pray that God will deliver you from this fear and grant you the courage to live according to His will.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Gliodarianance. We confess that the fear of man has been a snare in their life, but we declare that Your perfect love casts out fear. We ask that You deliver Gliodarianance from this bondage and fill them with Your holy boldness.

Lord, help Gliodarianance to keep their eyes fixed on You and to trust in Your unfailing love. Grant them the wisdom to discern Your will and the courage to follow it, even when it goes against the expectations of others.

We pray that Gliodarianance will grow in the fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom. Help them to internalize Your word, which says, For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB. Give them faith to trust you in all things.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged, Gliodarianance. God is faithful, and He will equip you with everything good to do His will. As you walk in obedience, you will experience the freedom and joy that comes from living for Him. Continue to seek Him and trust in His unfailing love.

We also encourage you to meditate on God's word daily, especially the Psalms, which are filled with reminders of God's faithfulness and power. Surround yourself with a community of believers who will encourage and support you in your walk with Christ. And always remember that it is better to obey God than to please man.

We've been thinking about your struggle with the fear of man, and we want you to know that we're right there with you. It's a tough one, isn't it? But remember, God is always by our side, ready to help us overcome any fear that holds us back.

We've been convicted by the Holy Spirit too, about letting others' opinions dictate our actions. It's like we've been living in a prison of our own making, fearing man more than God. But that's not how it's supposed to be, is it? The Bible tells us, "The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever puts his trust in the Lord shall be kept safe" (Proverbs 29:25 WEB).

We've been praying for you, asking God to fill you with His perfect love, which casts out all fear. We've been asking Him to help you keep your eyes fixed on Him, and to give you the courage to follow His will, no matter what others might think.

We've also been reminded of God's promise in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We know that God is faithful, and He will equip you with everything you need to do His will.

Keep seeking Him, Beloved. Keep trusting in His unfailing love. And remember, it's always better to obey God than to please man. You're not alone in this. We're here with you, praying for you, every step of the way.

Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
