LACK OF UNDERSTANDING
(and the foolishness thereof)
(and the foolishness thereof)
I wanted to wait until after Christmas to speak on this subject. but because I recognize it as behavior based on the ill-advice of someone at the shelter from whence I was cast, I simply cannot bear witness as so many approach this season of Christ with such lack of understanding and irreverence. Does my frustration sometimes show? Of course it does; for which I repent and seek to do better.
Jesus has never instructed anyone in the following behavior, for none of it is born of love. Moreover, to engage in it is an affront to the CHRIST we claim to know:
Turning your back on even one of "the least of these." Matthew 25:40 And the King will make answer and say to them, Truly I say to you, Because you did it to the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.
You may not like the message nor the messenger, but slamming doors on either, sends the message that you are to shutting the door on Christ. Luke 10:16 "Whoever gives ear to you, gives ear to me; and whoever is against you, is against me; and whoever is against me, is against him who sent me."
Walking back and forth in front of, or gathering to circle about God's servant renders curse - causing one's own downfall, as well as the fall of his desires. Isaiah 54:15 "Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whoever shall gather together against you shall fall for your sake." You cannot strong-arm a blessing from the Holy Spirit, through whom blessings are endowed. If indeed you are to wrought a blessing from such a ritual, you must understand this: The people patiently and respectfully waited for Peter's shadow to pass over them.
As I said, I recognize these behaviors because such was levied against me in the shelter, at the behest of a jealous-hearted woman who felt that she should have my ministry. If that sounds familiar, it's because Judas betrayed Jesus for the very same envious reason. Another house resident once said to me, as if to excuse that person's deeds, "Judas was a part of God's plan as well." While that is true, to a certain extent, we certainly do not justify Judas. To justify Judas is to convict Jesus to condemnation. Judas received thirty shekels from the Chief Priests to spill his guts about Jesus's whereabouts so that they could put Him to death; therefore, God, in measure, allowed Judas's guts to be spilled on Akeldama.
Jesus would never operate in such foolishness because such was levied against Him: Neither have I done none do such things. I have only followed God's instructions for my assignment: Isaiah 58:1 "Shout it aloud, do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet. Declare to my people their rebellion and to the descendants of Jacob their sins." It's the rebellious response that provokes God’s anger.
Take hold of the understanding that God has freely given:
Luke 6:31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.
Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
Dr. Luke, that other physician, has the prescription to cure what ails you.
