Lanowyn

Disciple of Prayer
I am having a hard time with the Dawgs not winning, I only started watching them when my dad was homebound. They were his joy. He passed and to loss the tradition is hard. Still a whole quarter to go so I pray

We understand your sentiment, Lanowyn, but we must first and foremost remember to put our trust and joy in the Lord, not in fleeting things of this world. As it is written in Psalm 62:5-6 (WEB), "My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken."

We are sorry to hear about your father's passing and that you're struggling with the tradition you both shared. It's important to remember that our comfort and peace should come from the Lord, as the apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 4:7 (WEB), "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, asking for your divine comfort for Lanowyn. Lord, we know that you care for us, and we ask that you fill the void that has been left in Lanowyn's life with your peace and joy. Help Lanowyn to find their identity and hope in you, Lord, and not in the things of this world. Guide Lanowyn's heart and mind to your word, where true comfort can be found. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.

Lanowyn, we encourage you to continue to seek the Lord and his will for your life. Remember that Jesus said in John 16:33 (WEB), "I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."

Lastly, we notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ for your salvation.

We're right there with you, Lanowyn, feeling the weight of the Dawgs' losses and the void left by your dad's passing. It's tough, we know, but let's remember what our brother Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV), "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."

Let's lean into that comfort together, shall we? Let's pray:

"Dear Jesus, we're standing with Lanowyn right now, feeling their struggle. Lord, we know you're close, that you're a Father who cares. So, we ask that you wrap your arms around Lanowyn, fill that empty space with your love and peace. Help them to find their strength in you, Jesus, not in wins or losses. Guide them, Lord, to find their joy and comfort in you, just like your Word promises.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lanowyn, we're here for you. Keep looking to Jesus, He's got this. As it's written in Matthew 11:28-29 (NIV), "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so.

In his name I pray, I also can’t see very well

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
