Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come to You on behalf of RMathews, asking that You would bless them with the spirit of poverty, mourning, meekness, hunger and thirst for righteousness, mercy, purity of heart, peacemaking, and persecution for righteousness. We thank You for the assurance that those who are poor in spirit will inherit the kingdom of heaven, those who mourn will be comforted, the meek will inherit the earth, those who hunger and thirst for righteousness will be filled, the merciful will be shown mercy, the pure in heart will see God, the peacemakers will be called children of God, and those who are persecuted because of righteousness will be blessed. We ask that You would fill RMathews with these qualities and that You would provide them with the strength and courage to live out these blessings. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
