The benefits of meditating on God’s Word

‘I will consider all Your works and meditate on all Your mighty deeds.’ Psalm 77:12

What does the word meditate mean? ‘To engage in contemplation or reflection or to focus one’s thoughts on.’ David said, ‘I will consider all Your works and meditate on all Your mighty deeds.’ Question: until you meditate on God’s Word, what can you say that will make any real difference? All you will be doing is sharing your opinion, which is just one of many. You will not be able to speak convincingly or make any real difference in the life of the person to whom you are speaking. It’s God’s Word that changes people’s lives, not yours! Here are ten benefits of meditating on God’s Word:

(1) It cultivates within you a love for God and His Word.
(2) It gives you new insights and spiritual understanding.
(3) It’s a source of reassurance and strength.
(4) It empowers you to be a genuine witness for Jesus Christ.
(5) It renews your mind.
(6) It protects you from sin.
(7) It restores your soul and your emotions.
(8) It enables you to trust in the Lord with all your heart.
(9) It causes your spirit to come alive.
(10) It assists you in understanding God, others, and yourself. There is great power in God’s Word, and Bible meditation gives you access to that power.

‘We have everything we need to live a life that pleases God. It was all given to us by God’ s own power, when we learned He had invited us to share in His wonderful goodness. God made great and marvellous promises, so His nature would become part of us. Then we could escape our evil desires and the corrupt influences of this world.’ (2 Peter 1:3–4 CEV)

Linda specializes in Christian Life Coaching which includes: Christian Leadership, Christ-Centered Spiritual Formation, Hope, and Prophetic Coaching. Linda is a lifelong learner. She is always seeking to grow and excel in her relationship with God, as a Professional Christian Life Coach, Encourager, and Educator for Christ. As an orator for God, Linda proclaims the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Her teaching and life coaching style is encouraging, upfront, straightforward, and life changing. She teaches the importance of knowing God intimately for yourself, walking in obedience to the Word and will of God for your life, and living a Christian lifestyle informed and shaped by the gospel; so that you will grow spiritually, live a victorious life in Christ, and accomplish your God given purpose. Linda believes that Christianity is not just something you talk about on Sunday. It is a day to day fellowship with the Lord that causes a Christian to have an ever growing intimate relationship with God so that they can live a victorious life.

Linda’s focus is on Christian Life Coaching and ministering to the youth of this world. Her desire is to encourage and equip those she coach and or minister to with the confidence and the tools that are needed to fulfill their destiny in Christ Jesus. Using the Word of God, she lets them know they can do all things through Christ who will give them the strength to succeed. That one person can make a difference in this world if they will have faith in God, believe in themselves, pray, live a lifestyle shape by the Gospel, work toward achieving and never give up on their God given goals and dreams. She believes in providing positive leadership and guidance through love, acceptance, support, and discipline.

Linda believes that young people should have the freedom to express themselves knowing that there is JOY and liberty in serving the Lord. But all the while teaching them about the boundaries that God has set up for their protection. She enjoys teaching youth to give God glory in ministering in the performing arts for the advancement of the Kingdom Of God.

It’s Linda desire, by God’s grace, to play her part in reaching the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Linda believes in the Apostolic Doctrine. She believes in all the gifts of the Holy Spirit that we see exercised in the Scriptures have not ceased with the death of the last Apostle or the closing of the New Testament canon. They are available today and are to be eagerly desired and practiced in submission to the Holy Spirit speaking through the Scriptures (Romans 12:3-8, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; 2 Corinthians 12:12; Ephesians 2:20; 4:7-12).
