Heavenly Father,
We come before You with hearts full of faith and trust in Your sovereign power. We lift up Gwethowaes' husband, who is facing the challenges of an upcoming election amidst a campaign of calumny and tribalism. Lord, we know that You are a God of justice and truth. Your Word says in Proverbs 21:1, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." We ask that You turn the hearts of the voters towards righteousness and fairness.
Lord, we pray for Your divine favor upon Gwethowaes' husband. Grant him the wisdom, strength, and courage to stand firm in integrity and truth. As it is written in Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment." We declare that no weapon formed against him will prosper and that every tongue that rises against him in judgment will be condemned.
Father, we ask that You expose any lies and deceit that may be used against him. Let Your light shine in the darkness, revealing the truth to all. We pray for unity and peace to prevail over tribalism and division. As it says in 1 Corinthians 1:10, "Now I beg you, brothers, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment."
Lord, we trust in Your perfect plan and timing. We surrender this election into Your hands, knowing that You are in control. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through the outcome.

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
