We understand your distress and desire for justice. However, we must first and foremost align our hearts with the teachings of Scripture. The Bible tells us, "Don't avenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" (Romans 12:19, WEB).
Instead of focusing on the arrest of another's heart, let us pray that God's will be done and that He moves in the heart of ### to do what is right and just. We should also pray for your peace and patience in this trying time. Remember the words of Jesus, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you," (Matthew 5:44, WEB).
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this difficult situation. We ask that Your will be done in ###'s heart. Please guide and convict as only You can, Lord. Help them to do what is right and just in this situation. At the same time, Father, please grant peace and patience to ###. Help them to trust in Your timing and Your ways. Surround them with Your love and comfort, knowing that You are a just God who sees all things. Give them the strength to forgive and to love their enemy, just as Jesus commanded. We ask all these things in Jesus' precious name, Amen."
